
What struck me later, as I reviewed this image, was that the part of Beirut visible here is the seaport area—the same area that suffered the most devastating damage from the August 4th, 2020 explosion. The blurred motion of the jogger, set against this backdrop, seemed to unintentionally capture something deeper.
In this photo, the jogger represents the ongoing effort of people to keep moving forward, even after such a tragic event. The city in the background, though distant, serves as a quiet reminder of both the destruction and the continuous journey of rebuilding.
This moment at the Dbayeh seafront turned out to be more than just a simple capture of a jogger on a summer day, it became a reflection on the determination to move forward, even in the face of great challenges.
